**The Opportunity:**
The Senior DevOps Manager is responsible for leading multiple DevOps teams, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of enterprise platforms. This role balances technical expertise with organizational leadership, aligning DevOps practices with business objectives while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
**Responsibilities**
* Provide vision and direction for DevOps teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and long\-term strategy.
* Oversee prioritization and planning across departments, balancing business needs with technical capacity.
* Establish governance frameworks for project execution, platform maintenance, and incident management.
* Act as the primary liaison between DevOps and executive leadership, communicating progress, risks, and opportunities.
* Define and track organizational\-level KPIs for DevOps effectiveness (deployment frequency, incident resolution time, system availability).
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing enterprise\-wide data on vulnerabilities, code quality, and release efficiency.
* Champion adoption of best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and security requirements.
* Lead enterprise\-level incident response, coordinating technical teams and executive communication.
* Develop risk mitigation strategies and ensure business continuity planning is integrated into DevOps operations.
* Oversee post\-incident reviews and drive systemic improvements.
* Sponsor and guide automation initiatives that scale infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment across the organization.
* Evaluate emerging tools and technologies, conducting proof of concepts, and making strategic recommendations.
* Ensure automation and tooling investments deliver measurable ROI and efficiency gains.
* Partner with solution architects, software engineering, QA, and system administration to ensure seamless rollout of solutions.
* Align DevOps roadmaps with product and business strategies.
* Foster collaboration with external partners and vendors to strengthen platform capabilities.
* Mentor DevOps leads and engineers, building a pipeline of future leaders.
* Design training programs to upskill teams in automation, security, and modern DevOps practices.
**Qualifications**
* 8\+ years of experience in system administration, software development, and DevOps engineering.
* 5\+ years in leadership roles, managing DevOps teams and large\-scale initiatives aligned with business objectives.
* Extensive experience with Microsoft\-based technologies and multi\-platform environments (Linux/Unix, Windows).
* Proven track record of delivering scalable, resilient, and secure enterprise applications.
* Advanced knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and configuration as code.
* Expertise with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and cloud\-native solutions.
* Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, SaaS, and SOA architectures.
* Strong background in database technologies (SQL Server, MongoDB) and Git\-based source control systems (GitLab, GitHub).
* Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability tools (Zabbix, New Relic, Dynatrace).
* Advanced troubleshooting skills across complex distributed systems.
* Skilled in risk assessment, mitigation, and business continuity planning.
* Proficiency in creating clear, concise technical and strategic documentation for executives and technical teams.
* Experience conducting tool evaluations, proof of concepts, and guiding enterprise adoption of new technologies.
