The Opportunity

We are not a traditional accounting firm. We are pivoting to an AI-first finance model, and we need a Senior Controller who is as passionate about automation and technology as they are about GAAP compliance and fiscal accuracy.

As we scale, you will be the architectural lead for our financial operations. You will move beyond traditional reporting into the realm of real-time data integrity, leveraging AI to eliminate manual bottlenecks and drive strategic insights. We are looking for a high-energy leader who sees AI as an opportunity to elevate the finance function, not just a tool for efficiency.

What You Will Own

- Full-Cycle Financial Oversight: Direct responsibility for the accuracy of the General Ledger, month-end close, consolidations, and financial reporting.
- AI & Tech Integration: Actively identify and implement AI-driven tools to automate reconciliation, expense management, and predictive forecasting. You will help lead the shift from "backward-looking" reporting to "forward-looking" analytics.
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Design and maintain a rigorous control environment that scales with technology. Ensure all automated processes have the necessary human-in-the-loop safeguards.
- Strategic Partnering: Work directly with leadership to translate complex financial data into actionable business strategies. You will manage the transition from fractional or manual systems to a centralized, tech-forward infrastructure.
- Treasury & Cash Management: Oversee cash flow modeling and treasury functions with a focus on maximizing liquidity and operational efficiency.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: University degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA, CA, or equivalent Contador Público certification required).
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or equivalent leadership position.
- Tech Stack: Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online or NetSuite. Significant experience with fintech automation tools (e.g., Ramp, Bill.com, Airwallex) and a documented interest in AI tools for finance.
- Language: Near-native English fluency (written and verbal).
- Location: Must be based in Mexico or Colombia to ensure real-time collaboration with our US team.
