Senior Live Operations Lead (Ad & Revenue Operations)
Location: Fully Remote | Global Team
About The Role
We operate in a live, high-stakes advertising environment where performance, revenue, and technical systems must be monitored and managed in real time — similar to a trading desk.
We are hiring a Senior Live Operations Lead to oversee live systems, detect anomalies, triage issues rapidly, and make data-driven decisions during critical operating windows.
This is a judgment-heavy execution role for someone who thrives in fast-moving, data-intensive environments and enjoys solving complex operational problems under pressure.
You will work closely with an existing traffic lead and analyst and, depending on experience, may directly manage the team.
Team Structure
- Current team: Traffic Lead + Analyst
- This role will operate at the same level as the current lead or manage both team members (based on experience)

Core Responsibilities
Live Media & Ad Operations
- Monitor live advertising and supporting technical systems
- Identify anomalies, breakages, and operational risks in real time
- Act as operational lead during critical windows
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly
- Improve reliability without slowing performance
- Document institutional knowledge and operational playbooks
Incident Response & Triage
- Lead system disruption response efforts
- Coordinate across internal teams and external vendors
- Diagnose root causes and implement preventative safeguards
- Design guardrails, alerts, and automation
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation tools
Data Analysis & Decision Support
- Run rapid analyses on imperfect real-time data
- Build and maintain dashboards for live and historical performance
- Translate raw data into clear insights and action plans
- Build or analyze financial and operational models in Excel or Google Sheets
Partner & Vendor Management
- Work directly with ad platforms, processors, vendors, and technical partners
- Track SLAs, reliability, and responsiveness
- Push for process improvements when external systems create risk
- Maintain accountability across external partners
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor team members to strengthen analytical thinking
- Raise standards for communication, judgment, and execution
- Provide structured feedback and clarity
- Model calm, decisive leadership during high-pressure moments

Required Experience
- 7+ years in ad operations, revenue operations, trading operations, or high-scale operational environments
- Experience working in live systems where mistakes are costly
- 2+ years of direct people management experience
- Strong analytical background with advanced spreadsheet skills
- Experience diagnosing and solving operational issues using data
Technical Skills (Day One)
- Google Workspace
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets
- Real-time data analysis
- Slack or Telegram
Highly Valued Experience
- Programmatic advertising or performance marketing
- Trading desk or exchange-style environments
- On-call or incident-response environments
- Experience with tools such as Everflow, iRev, Ringba, Zapier, or Meta Ads
