SDM Engineer

                This role focuses on the implementation and support of SDM nodes such as HSS, HLR, UDM, ONE-NDS, SDL, EIR, and MNP, ensuring stable and efficient operation across 4G, 5G, and IMS network environments.
The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in telecom signaling protocols, SDM domain knowledge, Linux-based systems, and cloud-native telecom environments, while working closely with customers during implementation, testing, and acceptance phases.

Key Responsibilities
•Provide technical consultation and solution guidance aligned with customer network requirements.
•Perform integration, deployment, and upgrades of SDM nodes, including HSS, HLR, UDM, ONE-NDS, SDL, EIR, and MNP.
•Support implementation, integration testing, acceptance testing, upgrades, operations, and maintenance (O&M) of telecom core network platforms.
•Participate in customer acceptance testing, executing test cases and validating network functionality using test devices.
•Troubleshoot and diagnose software and configuration issues related to SDM nodes.
•Coordinate and drive technical project activities, ensuring collaboration between engineering teams, customers, and stakeholders.
•Support telecom network implementations and upgrades, ensuring adherence to project timelines and technical standards.
•Analyze telecom signaling traffic and assist in troubleshooting network issues when required.

Required Technical Skills

-Strong knowledge of telecom signaling protocols including:
•GSM
•SS7
•SIGTRAN
•DIAMETER
-Experience working with Subscriber Data Management nodes, including:
•SDL
•AUSF / UDM
•EIR
•HLR
•HSS
•ONE-NDS
-Good understanding of 3GPP call flows, particularly related to 4G, 5G, and IMS architectures.
-Hands-on experience with telecom system implementation, integration, upgrades, troubleshooting, and operations.
-Experience using troubleshooting and analysis tools such as Wireshark.
-Knowledge of Linux-based environments and telecom infrastructure platforms.
-Familiarity with LDAP, DAP, and SOAP protocols.
-Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose software issues within SDM nodes.
-Experience working with Telco Cloud platforms and telecom infrastructure environments.

Cloud & Platform Experience
•Hands-on experience working with Cloud-Native Network Function (CNF) platforms.
•Exposure to VNF (Virtual Network Functions) and cloud-native telecom deployments.
•Familiarity with containerized telecom workloads and cloud-based infrastructure environments.
•Experience or exposure to Kubernetes-based platforms is considered an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications
•Experience in SDL, HLR, or HSS migration projects.
•Exposure to VNF, CNF, and Bare Metal telecom deployments.
•Experience working with modern Telco Cloud environments supporting 4G/5G core networks.
