Looking for a talented and motivated Quality Test Engineer to contribute to the mission of helping the world’s farmers sustainably increase productivity using digital tools, mobile software, advanced analytics and high quality assurance standards. This role is a unique opportunity to join our dynamic Brazil laboratory, responsible for testing the web & mobile apps that will operate under extreme environments and help ensure a great experience for our customers.

You will work on creating Test Plans and Test Cases and in most cases performing the manual testing based on those Test Plans and Test Cases. You will ensure our applications are accurate, robust, scalable, performant and deployable, and will have the opportunity to work with large, "big data" sets such as scientific data, machine generated data from our farmer's equipment to geospatial data, precision agriculture, remote sensing, weather and soil data. You will collaborate with product managers, engineering and business partners to enable a seamless, high-quality experience for our customers.

What You Will Do:
- Pair up with software engineers, product owners and test engineers to deliver manual test suites to validate our web and mobile (iOS, Android) applications
- Test our applications with different locales to guarantee a valuable global product experience to our customers, going to the field when necessary
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to ensure the data and software tools they use are accurate and reliable
- Write up test strategies, test plans, design documents, and whatever else may be needed
- Actively engage in root cause analysis reviews
- Assist in ongoing process improvement efforts to ensure test planning, execution, and reporting is effective and efficient
- Create detailed incident reports for production issues, and work on triage and investigation
- Be willing to take on other responsibilities and tackle a variety of engineering and testing problems - we are a small team and all share role
- Be willing to be a representative of the QA team on a project and lead all test activities that are needed

Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience designing and developing manual tests for web and mobile (iOS and android) with a stronger emphasis on web experience
- Strong self-starter who will work closely and daily with an existing team of other self-starters
- Ability to provide & received direct and regular self improvement feedback with peers
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field.
- Equivalent work experience may be accepted
- Nice to have: Agriculture degree with QA knowledge and experience
- Understanding the SDLC and the tester role and responsibility within it
- You understand deadlines and the need to deliver the most valuable things first
- English fluency
- You will communicate with US based teams on a daily basis and bridge any communication gaps between English and non-English team members
- at least B2 level of English, Cambridge or similar certification is a Plus
- Understanding of common user interface design patterns and software quality assurance methodologies
- Experience working in Agile teams, experience in SAFe is a Plus

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with blackbox testing
- Strong experience with web
- Medium experience with mobile and API testing
- ISTQB certification is a Plus
- basic programmer knowledge is a Plus
