This role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Please note that as this role supports U.S.-based clients, candidates must be available to work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone.
Our client is a U.S.-based medical practice specializing in the treatment of lipedema, operating a destination care model with a growing national patient base. In addition to surgical services, the organization is expanding into nutritional supplements and a medical membership program that includes online support, weight-loss medications, nutritional counseling, and physical therapy.
The company is entering a high-growth phase, with additional surgeons joining the practice and a strong emphasis on education-driven, social-first marketing to build trust, community, and long-term patient relationships.

Role Overview
The Head of Marketing will own the end-to-end marketing function for the organization, with primary responsibility for social media, community building, and brand-led growth. This role operates as the senior marketing leader for the business, running marketing independently while building and managing an outsourced marketing team over time.
The Head of Marketing will scale two parallel marketing engines, surgical services and consumer health products, using education, trust, and community as the core growth levers. This role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on leader who has built marketing systems before and knows how to scale execution through teams rather than individual contribution alone.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Ownership
- Own and execute the overarching marketing strategy across surgical services, supplements, and membership offerings
- Define messaging frameworks, content pillars, and brand voice aligned with patient education, trust, and medical credibility
- Establish KPIs, reporting, and performance benchmarks across all marketing channels
Social Media & Community Growth
- Lead growth and engagement across platforms including Facebook (with a strong emphasis on Groups), Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other relevant channels
- Develop and oversee education-led content strategies that drive awareness, trust, and conversion
- Act as the strategic owner of online communities, partnerships, and group-based engagement within the lipedema and wellness space
Content & Video Strategy
- Own the video content strategy, including repurposing long-form educational content into short-form social assets
- Oversee the end-to-end content workflow, including planning, editing, distribution, and optimization
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on filming while managing editing and publishing through the marketing team
Team Build-Out & Leadership
- Build, manage, and mentor an outsourced marketing team, including video editors, content coordinators, social media managers, and community leads
- Create SOPs, workflows, and content calendars to support consistent, scalable execution
- Ensure quality control, alignment, and accountability across all marketing functions
Influencer, Partnerships & Growth Initiatives
- Develop and manage micro-influencer, affiliate, and partnership strategies within ethical medical guidelines
- Identify opportunities for collaboration with aligned communities and platforms to expand national visibility
CRM, Data & Lifecycle Marketing
- Oversee data collection from supplement customers, membership programs, and community sign-ups
- Collaborate on email and SMS strategies that support education, retention, and cross-marketing across services and products
- Use performance insights to continuously refine messaging, offers, and overall growth strategy
Qualifications
Experience
- 4–5+ years of experience in a senior marketing or growth leadership role
- Proven experience building and scaling marketing systems through teams
- Strong background in social-first or community-led growth strategies
- Experience in health, wellness, medical, or other regulated industries strongly preferred
Skills
- Deep understanding of social platforms and content distribution
- Strong leadership, team-building, and operational capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to operate autonomously and make high-level decisions
- High attention to detail in sensitive or regulated marketing environments
- Strategic mindset with a strong bias toward execution through structure and systems
