Citrix Lead Engineer

                Role Overview
The Citrix Lead Systems Engineer leads, designs, implements, and supports the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) / DaaS platform to deliver secure virtual applications, virtual desktops, and published resources accessible from anywhere.

This role is also responsible for delivering non-Citrix workloads through Citrix ADC (NetScaler). The engineer ensures the platform is secure, highly available, scalable, and aligned with business needs, while staying current with emerging technologies. As a technical leader, this role mentors team members, leads internal projects, and communicates complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support enterprise environments for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops / DaaS.
- Architect, design, implement, and maintain Citrix ADC (NetScaler Gateway and Load Balancing) solutions.
- Ensure high availability, global site load balancing, and disaster recovery for Citrix platforms.
- Monitor platform performance, create and maintain performance baselines, and forecast capacity needs.
- Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for performance, connectivity, and security issues affecting Citrix infrastructure and published applications.
- Implement, configure, and update business applications delivered through the Citrix platform, ensuring compatibility, security, and performance.
- Maintain strong security practices using industry standards, including SSL, PKI, and authentication protocols.
- Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, runbooks, and service desk documentation.
- Collaborate across multiple IT and application teams, often leading projects and delegating tasks.
- Mentor, coach, and share knowledge with peers and junior team members.
- Follow established change management processes and service level agreements (SLAs).

Requirements
- 8–10+ years of enterprise experience designing, implementing, and supporting Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and Citrix ADC / NetScaler solutions.
- 3–5+ years of experience in a Senior or Team Lead role.
- Strong expertise in Citrix ADC, including Gateway, Load Balancing, High Availability, GSLB, and Disaster Recovery.
- Solid background in datacenter infrastructure, including virtualization, Active Directory, DNS, TCP/IP, PKI/SSL, and Windows Server.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex performance, connectivity, and security issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Experience with user profile management and personalization, including FSLogix (Ivanti UWM or AppSense preferred).
- Strong understanding of printer management in virtual environments.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and familiarity with REST APIs for automation.
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and runbooks.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple teams.
- English level B2 (Upper-Intermediate).
