About the Role

The Spanish Localization Engineer / QA Tester will support an enterprise-level product within CrowdStrike, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and culturally appropriate Spanish localization. The role focuses on linguistic and technical QA across product UI, documentation, and user-facing content, primarily for US Spanish, while also considering European Spanish variations when required.

This position collaborates closely with a Localization Manager, a Japanese QA Lead, engineers, product managers, and sales/technical teams in a fast-paced, distributed environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform linguistic QA on product UI, technical documentation, and user-facing strings.
- Validate third-party translations for context, grammar, terminology, style, and accuracy.
- Manage the full localization QA lifecycle, including test planning, execution, regression, and continuous localization support.
- Identify, report, and track localization issues using a Translation Management System (TMS) and internal tools.
- Apply and manage linguistic updates directly within Translation Memory (TM) systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and sales teams to clarify technical concepts and localization decisions.
- Partner with UI/UX and engineering teams to resolve localization issues such as hard-coded strings and externalization of localizable content.
- Occasionally run scripts or automation tools to improve QA efficiency and issue resolution.
- Maintain detailed documentation of issues using spreadsheets, Slack, and ticketing tools.
- Support continuous localization efforts after initial product rollout.
- Work effectively in a remote, fast-moving, and cross-functional environment.
- Occasional travel for project or team meetings may be required.

Required Qualifications

- Native or near-native Spanish with strong linguistic sensitivity and cultural awareness.
- 2–5+ years of experience in localization QA or in-country testing for technical or enterprise products (IT, security, cloud, or software preferred).
- Conversational English, both written and spoken.
- Strong attention to detail, accountability, and ability to work independently.
- Experience with Translation Management Systems, preferably Smartling.
- Familiarity with automation testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).
- Comfortable navigating cloud environments, virtual machines, Jenkins, and technical products.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, RESTful APIs, and web applications.
- Experience across iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows platforms.
- Strong skills in bug tracking, analysis, reporting, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Tools & Technology
- Translation Management System (TMS): Smartling
- Automation tools for QA efficiency
- Cloud and virtual environments
- Internal tracking tools (spreadsheets, Slack, ticketing systems such as JIRA, Asana, or Workfront)

Bonus Points
- Experience with machine translation workflows.
- Knowledge of additional languages beyond Spanish and English.
- Participation in localization communities or familiarity with industry best practices.
- Previous experience working in remote-first, globally distributed teams.
