Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8am–5pm (California Time)
• Pay range: $12–$16 per hour, based on experience.

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled in-house Architectural Designer with strong experience in California residential codes, permitting standards, and full plan set production. This person will work directly with the CEO and project managers, join client Zoom meetings, and produce both existing and proposed plans, 3D renderings, and full construction-ready documents.
We are looking for an interior designer who can develop complete interior design packages for kitchens, bathrooms, full remodels, and additions. The designer must produce photorealistic 3D renderings, detailed elevations, and material boards with links for client approval.
We are seeking a designer who can produce complete landscape master plans, 3D renderings, material layouts, plant lists, and conceptual images. This designer must be able to work from photos, videos, Google Earth measurements, and Joseph’s instructions.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Architectural Design & Documentation
• Create existing / as-built plans from photos, videos, measurements, and Google Earth references.
• Create proposed plans, including multiple layout options.
• Join Zoom meetings with Joseph and clients to explain layouts and answer questions.
• Respond to City / Building Department comments and revise plans accordingly.
• Produce full plan sets including:
o Site plan
o Demolition plan
o Proposed layout
o Electrical plan
o Plumbing layout (basic)
o Elevations
o Interior elevations
o Sections & details
o Window & door schedule
o Title 24 support (if familiar, not required)
• Provide clear drawings that subcontractors can follow easily.
• Maintain revisions and updated PDFs for client approval.

Interior Design & 3D Rendering
• Create 3D renderings (5+ angles minimum) per project showing:
o Materials
o Tile layouts
o Paint colors
o Cabinet colors and styles
o Lighting fixtures
o Countertops
o Flooring
o Appliances (existing or new)
• Produce interior elevations with exact measurements.
• Prepare material selection documents with clickable links:
o Tiles
o Cabinets
o Plumbing fixtures
o Lighting fixtures
o Paint colors
o Countertops
o Shower doors
o Hardware
• Provide a finish schedule for construction.
• Work with Joseph during Zoom calls to explain design options to clients.
• Update designs based on client feedback and revisions.
• Provide complete design packages, including:
o Material board
o 3D renderings
o Specs + links
o Schedules
o Elevations
o Notes for installers

Hardscape & Landscape Design
• Create landscape master plans from Google Earth + site photos.
• Identify:
o Paver layout
o Artificial turf locations
o Mulch areas
o Gravel areas
o Planting zones
o Trees and shrubs
o Retaining walls
o Planter boxes
o Drainage paths
o Outdoor lighting layout
• Produce 7–10 renderings per project, including:
o Aerial perspectives
o Daytime and evening views
o Walkway renderings
o Backyard overview
o Front yard perspectives
• Provide material recommendations, including:
o Pavers
o Flagstone
o Turf
o Mulch
o Plants
o Boulders
o Lighting fixtures
• Create plant list with:
o Species
o Quantities
o Placement
o Maintenance notes
• Join Zoom calls with clients to present the design.
• Assist Project Managers with clarifications during construction.

Collaboration & Internal Support
• Collaborate with Project Managers (Rodrigo, Matt, Danielle) when needed.
• Available on WhatsApp during work hours.

REQUIRED SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE

• V-Ray (required)

• Google Earth Pro
• Photoshop (optional)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• 3–7+ years in residential architecture
• Strong understanding of California Residential Building Code (CBC/CRC)
• Experience with kitchen remodels, bathrooms, ADUs, additions, and layout reconfigurations
• Ability to create accurate as-builts from photos/video
• Experience preparing plans for city plan check and permits
• 3–5 years of experience in residential interior design
• Strong portfolio of kitchens, bathrooms, and full remodel renderings
• Knowledge of current design trends (California market)
• Knowledge of California landscape styles is highly preferred, not mandatory
• Familiarity with drought-tolerant plant species
• Experience designing paver layouts, walkways, and backyard structures
• Strong rendering portfolio

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
• Must be available Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm (California time)
• Must communicate through WhatsApp daily
• Must meet deadlines and handle revisions quickly
• Must be comfortable working in a high-speed construction environment
• Ability to take instruction from Joseph (CEO) and collaborate with:
o Rodrigo – Project Manager
o Matt – Project Manager
o Danielle – Admin & Dispatch

COMPENSATION
• Pay range: $12–$16 per hour, based on experience.
• Salary review every 3 months with potential raise ($1/hr increase per review).
• Bonus structure:
o $200–$500 performance bonuses if company quarterly goals are met
o Potential fast-track salary increases for high performers
