What we’re looking for:
We are looking for a skilled FP&A professional with a strong background in private equity, investment banking, or strategic finance. This role emphasizes building detailed financial models from the ground up and providing actionable insights for startups, mainly within the SaaS industry. You'll directly manage financial modeling and support strategic decision-making for multiple startups at different stages, from early-stage ventures to companies nearing $10M ARR. Your role will be essential in guiding founders and leadership teams through critical financial strategies and decisions.

Responsibilities—what you'll do:
- Develop custom three-statement financial models from scratch for early-stage and growth-stage startups, particularly SaaS companies with limited or no existing financial infrastructure.
- Build detailed monthly cash flow forecasts, revenue bridges, expense schedules, hiring plans, and funding scenarios.
- Incorporate advanced metrics, including cohort-level analytics (retention, expansion, churn), unit economics (CAC, LTV, payback), and runway sensitivity analysis.
- Fully own the model’s structure, logic, and outputs—nothing will be pre-made or templated.
- Create investor-grade deliverables such as dashboards, scenario summaries, and visualizations suitable for boards and potential investors.
- Clean, reconcile, and restructure financial data from sources like QuickBooks, Stripe, and Hubspot, identifying and addressing inconsistencies.
- Lead regular financial reporting (monthly/quarterly) for clients, building from raw data into clear, actionable reports.
- Set up automated dashboards and visual reports using platforms such as Fathom, LiveFlow, Power BI, or Looker.
- Collaborate on pitch decks and fundraising materials, translating complex financial data into compelling narratives for investors.

Requirements:
- 4-6+ years of professional experience in private equity, investment banking, or strategic FP&A roles.
- Proven expertise in building complex financial models from scratch; this skill is essential and non-negotiable.
- Deep knowledge of SaaS metrics, startup growth dynamics, and venture capital expectations.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, with strong comfort navigating financial systems like QuickBooks, Stripe, Fathom, and Power BI.
- Ability to handle incomplete data, clearly documenting assumptions and logic.
- Excellent communication skills, including experience drafting investor communications, presentations, and client-facing reports.
- Fully fluent in English
- Ability to work U.S. business hours (Pacific Time, Central Time, or Eastern Time)
