Bookkeeper - QuickBooks Online

                Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Operations Specialist to manage day-to-day accounting functions across multiple industries, including hospitality, food & beverage, real estate, and wellness. This role ensures accurate financial transactions, timely reporting, and compliance while supporting business managers, ownership, and external accountants.

Job Highlights
Monthly Rate: USD 828
Number of Paid Hours Per Week: Full-time
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST, Monday–Friday, with 1-hour unpaid lunch break
Work Arrangement: Work from home
Contract: Independent Contractor
Side Note:
Since this is a permanent work-from-home Independent Contractor role, candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, handle their own benefits and taxes, and will be compensated on hourly rates depending on experience and performance.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, vendor payments, deposits, and intercompany transfers
- Maintain clean, up-to-date books across multiple industries
- Perform general ledger reconciliation and maintain financial reports
- Assist with budget preparation and monitoring
- Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures
- Provide expertise in areas such as private equity, governmental accounting, and financial concepts
- Serve as the primary contact for business managers, ownership, and external accountants
- Utilize accounting software proficiently, including QuickBooks Online

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proven experience in public accounting
- QuickBooks Online experience required
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Preferred: Proficiency in general ledger reconciliation
